Foreign students' own criteria
Every year, at the expiration of residence permit, the foreign
student must ask for a new one. Since the beginning of the 90s,
after the French Council of State's decisions unfavourable to foreign
students, more power to control " the reality and the seriousness
of the studies followed by foreign students " has been given to
the Prefecture authorities.
We shall detail all the aspects concerning the administrative formalities
of entrance and stay in France, in the second part of this guide.
