Inter-university service of medicine :
in your university a staff of doctors, nurses, psychologists, social
workers is here to listen to you and at your disposal. Do not hesitate
to see them.
Hospitals : in every hospital
an emergency service is opened 24 hours. In the hospitals of the
Public Service, and the private hospitals, the patient's contribution
(part of the health expenditure left to be paid by the social insurant)
must be paid.
Certain health expenditure is badly paid off by the Social Security
(optics, teeth, audition…for example). A solution, if you did not
sign additional mutual insurance company, consists in getting treatments
in schools and universities which train the ophtalmologists, the
dental surgeons, the chiropodists… Some depend on health centers
or propose treatments directly in their premises at very low prices.
Do not be afraid : the students who will take care of you are in
last year classes and are placed under the supervision of teachers.
Free healt care centers of vaccination,
prevention and testing. The list of these centers can be obtained
at the Health Service of the City Hall.
The French Health Foundation of Students
: in thirteen establishments in Paris, in Paris region
and in the provinces. 100 % of health expenditures are paid by Social
Security " long duration diseases ". This measure is reserved for
the social insurants and for their legal successors.
